Lisa's is one of more than 2,000 households volunteering to raise guide dog puppies for around a year.

丽莎一家，还有其它2000多户家庭，自愿用一年左右的时间饲养导盲犬幼犬。

"It's opened up a whole new world I'm part of. I feel part of a community that I wasn't before. Not only that, you're obviously doing something very good at the end of the day. It's just… it's all round really rewarding."

Lisa is raising two pups. Archie has just arrived.

But soon she will have to say goodbye to her first dog, Fergall, as he goes off for his advanced training.

Lisa's role as a puppy raiser is increasingly important as guide dog partnerships decreased by more than 1 in 5 during the pandemic.

The charity, Guide Dogs, is working to create new partnerships.

Many guide dog users stay in touch with their puppy raisers, but many do not.
